Affordable Artwork for all

It has always been my aim to make my work accessable to everybody, regardless of the depth of their pockets.
Whenever a person commissions a painting, I always discuss with them the level of detail required in the painting, to ensure it stays within that individuals budget.

The world of Mavis & her cat

Most of my paintings of towns, buildings and streets, usually contain people to help bring them to life.
So in my paintings, where you find people you will usually find Mavis & her cat somewhere in it. - They really do like to get about and always enjoy visiting new places!

Mini Moo and friends

Many people enjoy the way I paint animals 'from the nose down'. It all started with my painting of Mini Moo, and has now spread to take up about a third of my time - with many people commissioning paintings of their pets. so if you fancy seeing your pets nose immortilised, then please contact me.

My Work.

Watercolour Paintings

I paint a wide variety of subjects using my favourite medium of Watercolors, and offer these for sale via exhibitions, high street shops, Galleries and on this website. Subjects painted can be bustling street scenes to remote pubs or coastal scenes to stately homes, no two paintings are ever the same.

Commissions

Giving a gift of a painting to somebody is a very individual thing to do, but giving them a painting that is unique to them makes it so much more personal. If would like me to paint something of your own choosing, for someone you love or something to remember such as a wedding venue, then please Contact Me.

Oils & Acrylics

Even though I enjoy Watercolor painting it doesn't stop me painting in other mediums. Sometimes a landscape or seascape can be be represented in a better light when using Oils or Acrylics. there can be no better medium than Oils to bring life to a painting of the Zante shipwreck at sunset or a forest stream at dawn.

Prints, Cards & bags, etc

Affordable Cards, Mounted Prints, placemats, coasters and canvas shopping bags with images of Jayne's paintings on, can be purchased by either calling at one of the locations here, or by contacting Jayne Direct. Prints can be made of almost any of the paintings displayed on this website (and one or two that aren't) - so please ask.

Exhibitions

Every year I hold exhibitions of my work at different venues. These range from small displays at local Galleries to full blown exhibitions sometimes displaying up to 100 paintings (depending on space available).

About me.

I am a predominantly self taught artist based near Carmarthen, West Wales. UK. Born in Birmingham in 1966, I narrowly missed being named after the entire World Cup winning team of that year by my Dad! Luckily being born a girl, my Mother happily settled on Jayne! I moved to Wales after achieving an Art A Level in 1 year rather than 2 and have been painting ever since.
&Canada.

The old Welsh cottage I share with my husband, dogs, cat is also where I have my small art studio, working there most days amongst the happy chaos! My studio is not open to the public, but my work can be viewed and purchased via this site, and at the galleries and shops mentioned below. My beautiful surroundings are a constant source of inspiration to my work, the coastlines of Llansteffan, Laugharne, & Pembrokeshire, along with the street life of wonderful old Welsh towns & Villages.
I have always been fascinated by old buildings and streets and the life they contain, and really enjoy capturing the character of them in the paintings I produce - usually including bustling people and animals – but without a car or white van in sight!
I love to produce paintings that make people smile !
